Alice Downey, age 86, passed away peacefully at Hillcrest Mable Rose March 5, 2021. She was born April 7, 1934 to the late Charles and Purna (Cross) Jones in Council Bluffs, IA. Alice lived in Council Bluffs the majority of her life until moving to Aksarben Village in 2016. Alice enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Patrick Downey and son, James.
Alice is survived by her children, Pat Downey, Joe Downey, brother Emory Jones, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Hillcrest Hospice in lieu of flowers.
