In loving memory of Barbara Jean Bailey, mother, grandmother and friend to all. A resident of Omaha, NE, Barb died on February 25th 2018. Barb was born in Omaha on August 22th 1946 where she met and married James F. Evans. They moved to San Francisco for a brief time while Jim was in the service. One of their children was born there and they returned to Omaha where she lived the remaining years of her life. Barb and Jim had five children together. Barb and Jim eventually parted ways. Barb then met and married Antone E. Bailey. They remained together for 33 years. Tony loved the children as his own, adopting Shannon, and continues to be a big part of their lives. Barb was the grandmother to 3 grandsons, 7 granddaughters, and great grandmother to 7 great grandchildren.
Besides her family, Barbs greatest joy in life was reading. Everyone who knew Barb realized she always had a book in her hand, later replaced by a Kindle. Barb lived a simple life, fiercely loyal to her family and friends. For many years she played softball and bowled with her work league family. She cherished her independence, had a strong work ethic and was passionate about workers rights.
