Born on a farm west of Bigelow, Mo.
He married Kay Murry and together they raised 3 sons and 2 granddaughters. Buren was a minister for the Assembly of God Church for 25 years. In 1983, he started Direct Delivery with his family and was President until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Buren and Rachel Hardy; and son, Douglas Hardy.
Survived by his wife of 61 years, Kay; sons, Jay (Laurie) Hardy of Omaha, Ron (Billie Jo) Hardy of Des Moines. 9 grandchildren , 17 great grandchildren.
Graveside service in Maitland, Mo. on August 6 at 2:00 pm. Memorials to the Arthritis Foundation.
