Carol Anne Theodorski Boline Brooks, age 88, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2022 at her home in Omaha after a short battle with cancer. Her cats and daughter were at her side. She was born December 17, 1933 to Gustav and Marie (Dreps) Theodorski in Lansing, MI. Carol grew up there. She raised her 3 children in Indianapolis, Indiana. She then moved to Houston, Dallas and Seattle with her job as a bookkeeper with Lone Star Industries. She retired in Palm Springs with her second husband Major Brooks. She moved to Omaha, NE 9 years ago to be with her daughter Linette's family.
Those who knew Carol will say she was sweet, funny, clever and very independent. She raised her three children on her own so she was thrifty but resourceful. She was proud of her 5 grandsons and great grandson. And she will be missed terribly by her two tuxedo cat sisters - Lilly and Pally.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Arthur and his wife Irene, sister Dorothy and her husbands Jay Elliott and Fred Cavanaugh. Also son Steven Arthur Boline, son-in-law John Fazli, grandson Karl Fazli and former husbands Richard Boline and Major Brooks.
Carol is survived by daughter Dawn Bennett, husband Thomas and grandson Jeremy Fazli. Daughter Linette Nelson, husband Eric and grandsons Tristan Nelson, Bryce Bordenkecher (Katie Wadley), Bryan Bordenkecher (Sarah), great grandson Grant. And nieces Trudy, LeeAnn and Rebecca, nephew Tim and their families. Also ex son-in-law Matt Bordenkecher and friend/caregiver Angel Pike.
Per her request Carol was cremated and will be buried in Indianapolis with her son Steven. You are invited to privately celebrate Carol's memory in your own special way as no formal services are being held.
