Released from pain June 28, 2017. Proceeded by parents William and Blanche Gross, brother William, sister Joan. Survived by wife of 55 years, Gloria; sons David (Michele) of Rapid City and Bill (Naomi Weber) of Denver, and daughter Cynthia Gross of Dallas; grandchildren Zachary (Brandi), Gabrielle, Olivia, Joslin and Chloe Gross; sisters-in-law Phyliss Wade and LaDonna Edeburn; brother-in-law Bruce Gordon; and special friends Bob and Carole Buczkowski with whom he and Gloria cruised to Alaska, through the Panama Canal and attended many magic conventions. Charlie was a magician who once performed on the Ed Sullivan show and was a life member of the Omaha Magical Society. He was an avid Husker fan and attended home games for more than 20 years. Memorial service Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Living Faith United Methodist Church, 5310 S 182nd Ave. in Omaha, at 10 am, followed by a lunch. Visitation with family at 9:30 am. Burial in the Omaha Veterans Cemetery Monday, July 3, 2017 at 10 am. Memorials to the Alzheimers Association.
