Jeraldyne Uriguen

August 6, 1935 — January 17, 2021

Jeraldyne Lyons Uriguen (aka Tiger to her friends), age 85, of Papillion, NE passed away on Sunday, Jan 17, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jeri was born, raised in Buhl, ID, and lived the majority of her life in Twin Falls, ID. She married her husband, Albert (Abbie) Uriguen, in June 1956 and later became the proud parents to two daughters Cheryl and Abigail. Tragically, however, Jeri was left to be a single mother when the love of her life, Abbie passed away in March 1977 at far too young of age. Despite her loss, Jeri never wavered and embraced the challenges and obstacles to living life to the fullest.
Jeri worked at various jobs throughout the years because of her dedication to politics, kids, and her green thumb; which included working at the Idaho state legislature, substitute teacher and as a florist. Jeri had such a kind and gentle spirit which was displayed to anyone she crossed paths with, especially her family and friends and she always thought of others first before herself. After retirement, Jeri became very passionate about religion and went through the process of confirmation to becoming a member of the Catholic faith in 2000.
In late 2010, Jeri relocated with her daughter and family to Papillion, NE and lived with them until her passing. During her time there, Jeri became an active member at the local YMCA, where she learned how to swim and enjoyed the daily gatherings with her senior friends along with the interactions with her daughter Abby's preschool students. Jeri was especially proud of her achievement in publishing a children's book, entitled " A Tweeter's Tale" a story between an exceptional bird who had a gift to be able to communicate to kids with special needs. Because of Jeri's desire to stay connected with politics she also became an active member in the Sarpy County Republicans Ladies Group attending several functions with her granddaughter Mikaele.
Jeri held many titles throughout her life... wife, mother, grandmother (aka Mimi to Mikaele and Sammy), great-grandmother and friend. She embodied and embraced all of her roles, but none more precious or important then her devotion to being a mom to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Jeri's kindness and love influenced so many lives throughout her journeys, that everyone she touched will forever be grateful for her enduring spirit.
Jeri was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Lena Lyons, her husband, Albert (Abbie) Uriguen, her grandson, Dennis Wilson (Denny) and granddaughter, Krissie Scott (Moore).
Jeri leaves behind her two children: Cheryl Moore and her husband Mike Moore, Abigail (Abby) Gabiola and her husband, Jose Gabiola, her grandchildren, Mikaele Gabiola, Sammy Gabiola, and great grandchild, Carmella Rose Wilson, and her mom, Nicci Wilson. She was also dearly loved by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends scattered throughout several states.
There will be no funeral at this time. Jeri's family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at a later date.
