Joseph E. Allen

Joseph Eugene Allen passed away at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE on May 22, 2017 after a brief illness.

Joe was born in Missouri Valley, IA to Eugene and Kathryn Allen on May 25, 1977. He graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1997 and attended Peru State College.

Joe is survived by his wife, Kristina; sons, Mason (10) and Logan (8) of Omaha, NE; brother, Rich (Lori) Burbridge of Missouri Valley, IA; sister, Wendy Beckman of Omaha, NE; and brother, TJ (Brigid) Burbridge of Omaha, NE; mother-in-law, Susan (Richard) Rabb of Omaha, NE; father-in-law, Doug Livingston of Omaha, NE and brother-in-law, Mike (Jessica) Livingston of Charlottesville, VA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Beth Magill.

Joe was employed by Executive Protection of Lincoln, NE. He enjoyed his participation in Boy Scouts of America with his sons. Joe was an assistant coach for a team with the Hillside Little League.

Joe's favorite hobby was demolition derby and most recently figure 8 racing. He would take his cars to as many local shows as he could each summer. He enjoyed cheering on his fellow drives and formed many lasting friendships.

He loved his sports and cheering on his favorite teams. Joe never missed watching the Nebraska Husker football games. He would also cheer on the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears each season.

Visitation Tues., 5-7 p.m., and memorial service Wed., 10 a.m., all at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home, 1221 N 16th St., Council Bluffs, IA. Donations to the education funds for Mason and Logan.
