Kathleen Ann Hastings

Kathleen Ann Hastings, age 53, passed away at her home, on Friday, January 26, 2018. She was born January 14, 1965, in Henderson, Nevada, to the late Lucille and Gerald Hastings. Kathy came into this world with a bang and made the news being the first girl born on her fathers side of the family in 135 years. She grew up in Las Vegas.

Kathy was a courageous three time survivor of cancer, but there was no fighting the A.L.S., which took her in the end. Following her last victory over breast cancer, Kathy, who was living in Carson City, Nevada, felt she needed to be near her only son, Bryan, and her grandchildren, and moved to Omaha, Nebraska.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her eldest brother, Michael, who was killed in Vietnam.

She is survived by the "love of her life," Jon Perriraz; son, Bryan Worrell; grandchildren, Seaira, Presten, Brynlee, and Kyler; siblings, Judy, Steve, and Larry; close friends, Toni and Dewey Maynard, Barb and Blair Hirzel; her precious animals, Lucy, Jasmine, and Cinder; countless cousins, nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the home of Diane Fucinaro, in Papillion, Nebraska, on February 17, 2018, at 12 p.m. A second Celebration of Life will be held in Las Vegas at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to "Fur the Love of PAWS Rescue" at www.furtheloveofpawsrescue.com or be mailed to 1821 West 'A' St., North Platte, NE 69101 in memory of Kathy.
