Kathleen Gardner

Kathleen Rosemarie Gardner (Poppen), of Woodbine, Iowa was born on August 01, 1967 in Omaha, Nebraska. Kathleen was born to Joseph Richard Poppen and Constance Salbustina Poppen (Catania).

Kathy attended school at Rosewater School in Omaha, Nebraska. Kathy passed away at Bergan Mercy in Omaha, Nebraska on April 20, 2025 at the age of 57 years 8 months and 19 days. Kathy worked many years in manufacturing and production plants. She loved her plants, grandbabies, camping, and keeping up her home. In her spare time she enjoyed word find puzzles, TV shows such as House MD and was a big fan of NASCAR. Kathy especially enjoyed getting together for the holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Kathy is preceded in death by both of her parents; Joseph and Constance, her sister; Robin Poppen, and her brother; Wilford Maples, Jr.

Kathy is survived by her children: Kenny Wells and wife Samantha Wells, Jacqueline Poppen, Anthony Poppen, Leonard Gardner III and wife Paige Gardner, Joseph Gardner. Grandchildren: Gabriel Hall, Alekszander Hall, Azrayael Hall, Saphyre Hall ,Kiyara Poppen, Sarah Summers, Ava Catania, Aja Catania, Lyric Poppen, Camilla Poppen, Khloe Gardner, Daniel Miller, Rose Cates, Joseph Gardner, Jr., Evelyn Gardner, Warren Gardner, and Nora Gardner. Great Grandchildren: Anileia McDonald and Dimitri McDonald. Sister Mable Tostenson. Many nieces and nephews and friends.
