J. Lee Santo

Lee Santo, age 87, was born in New York, and was an Omaha resident for the past 45 years.  Widely known as a highly-skilled piano tuner/technician, Lee tuned for the Omaha Symphony, University of Nebraska at Omaha, Joslyn Witherspoon Concert Hall, Orpheum Theater and for churches, schools and private residences up until his passing. A Julliard trained concert pianist, Lee toured for a number of years performing music for duet and two pianos with his wife, and also performed with the Omaha Symphony. He also taught piano for many years.  

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor, parents, Lena & Nicholas Santo, son, Michael, sister Anne Bliley, and brothers Sam, Pete and Nicholas who was killed at Pearl Harbor.  Survived by sister Rose Brewer & Nephew Rob Brewer of Houston, stepsons David Wooley, Daniel Moore, & Stephen Moore, 11 step-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and countless friends and longtime clients who loved him dearly and will miss him deeply.   

CELEBRATION OF LIFE:  Saturday, March 30th at 3:00 in the concert hall of the Strauss Performing Arts Center at UNO, 6001 Dodge St. Omaha, NE.  Memorials suggested to the Omaha Symphony, KVNO Radio or charity of your choice.
