Lewis Junior Frahm, age 92 of Omaha, Nebraska, a proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 9, 2023.
The son of Julius and Ada Frahm, Lewis grew up in Shelby, Iowa. He was born January 18, 1931 in Shelby, Iowa and attended Shelby Public Schools and then attended a 2-year Electrical College in Chicago, IL.
At the age of 19, Lewis enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Electrician. As part of this service, Lewis obtained several decorations, medals, badges, commendations, citations, and campaign ribbons. He received the Navy Occupation Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal (x2), United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, China Service Medal (Extended), and the Korean Presidential Unit Citation.
Lewis Junior Frahm is survived by his loving wife Barb of 66 years, children Rona Hamill (Steve), Vicky Rolon (Rob), Janet Black (Kevin), Rodney Frahm (Brenda), Eric Frahm (Megan, fiancée), 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
A Service with Military Honors, honoring the life of Lewis Junior Frahm will be held at Omaha National Cemetery, Friday, March 24, 2023, at 12:30pm. Following the service, there will be a time for lunch and fellowship at Good Shepherd Funeral Home (4712 S. 82nd St. Omaha, NE 68127). Memorials are suggested to Wounded Warrior Project.
