Mary Sharon Moffatt entered heaven on May 9th, 2020 at the age of 67. Mary Sharon was loved and adored by everyone who met her. She had an uncanny ability to make people feel special and unconditionally loved. She always welcomed those with nowhere else to go into her home showing her love for the underdog.
For many years she cleaned gutters for a living. Her customers wouldnt let anyone else do the job always remaining loyal to her. She was an interpreter for the Deaf in the Douglas and Pottawattamie County courthouse. She had a love for fast cars, animals and above all else her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader and loved watching Judge Judy in her spare time. She lived in the Bemis Park area for over 35 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Murphy and Mary A Murphy; brother, Mike Murphy; great grandson, Gunner Nielson.
Mary Sharon left behind a large and adoring family. She is survived by, five children (and their respective partners), John Moffatt (Regan), Anne Moffatt (David), Roger Coleman Nielson (Renee), Roland Nielson and Andrea Moffatt; ten grandchildren (and their respective partners), Jacob Moffatt, Ally Moffatt, Christopher Nielson(Jasmine), Madeline Nielson, Arianna Nielson, Kingston Nielson, Ranger Nielson, Julian Nielson, Augustus Nielson and Logan Nielson; three great-grandchildren, Alexander Nielson, Damien Nielson and Zoe, two sisters, Patricia Murphy and Jeannie Mathews; Aunt, Laurie Root in Pasadena CA and many nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Her sweet, generous, and kind soul and will be terribly missed.
There will be a graveside service at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 18th, 2020 at Calvary Cemetery (7710 W. Center Rd). Following the graveside service the family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at the home of Anne Moffatts (5804 Leavenworth St., Omaha NE 68106).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family.
