Norma J. Butts

Norma Joyce Butts, age 84, was born November 2, 1932 to the late John and Gertrude Reyers. She passed peacefully on April 29, 2017 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin "Jack" Sr.; sister, Sally Crowley; and grandson, Robbie Wright.

She is survived by her sister, Judy (Bob) Matthews; brothers, Gordy Reyers and Steve Reyers; son, Merlin "Jack" Jr.; daughter, Patricia Wright; son, Timothy (Nikki); 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Norma was born and raised in the Coopersville/Grand Rapids, Michigan area, but lived in the Omaha area since 1992. She was active in sports for many years, especially fast-pitch softball, playing the short-stop position, and bowling where she always carried at least a 200 average.

Memorial service and inurnment will be at 11 a.m., on Friday, May 5th at Rosedale Memorial Park, Grand Rapids, MI.
