Pamela Rentschler

Pamela (Pam) Ann Rentschler (née Meisel), age 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 13, 2023, at home in Bellevue, NE. Pam was born on October 13, 1954 to Harvey and Patricia. She became a child of God through the sacrament of holy baptism on December 26, 1954, and would then grow up in Omaha, NE. Pam graduated from North High in 1972.

Pam married James (Jim) Rentschler and while they were married had three children.

After having children, Pam put herself through nursing school at the College of St. Mary earning her BSN. Subsequently she took a nursing position at the Omaha VA Medical Center, often working overnight shifts in order to be with her young kids during the day. Pam later became a traveling hospice nurse, and then held nursing positions at multiple assisted living facilities. Both Pam’s work and home life were devoted to serving others. After retiring from the nursing field, Pam’s greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her cat Rosie.

Pam was preceded in death by her father, Havey Meisel, her mother, Patricia Rentschler, and her sister DruAnn Wonder. She is survived by her children Angela (Jorge Armando) Gomez, Scott (Michelle) Rentschler, and Eric Rentschler, along with her four grandchildren, Bianca Gomez, Armando Gomez, Lydia Rentschler, and Audrey Rentschler.

A small memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at First Lutheran Church at 420 North Washington Street, Papillion, NE at 1:30 p.m.
