Stanley Jay Raab, 74, passed away on October 11, 2024, in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born on March 5, 1950, in Eldora, Iowa, to Dallas Wayne and Vivian Raab.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dallas Wayne Raab; brother, Alan Raab; and sister, Bonnie Phillips.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 16 years, Elizabeth Raab of Omaha, NE; mother, Vivan Raab of Little Falls, MN; sister, Patty Hanneman of Durham, NC; son, Steve Raab of St. Paul, MN; son, Dave (Molly) Raab of St. Paul, MN; stepson, Herb (Mikala) Harden of Omaha, NE; stepson Ben (Randee) Harden of Zurich, CH; grandchildren Steven, Michael, Louis, Liliana, Julian, and Elliot; and other family.
Stan was a certified public accountant by trade and took great pride in his work with Farm Credit Services of America. A veteran, Stan served his country in the United States Air Force.
He loved and was proud of his family and grandchildren and was the best brother any of his siblings could ask for. His wife Liz, whom he married in 2008, was his loving partner in life's adventures-from enjoying everyday moments together to traveling abroad to destinations like Switzerland and Italy.
A devoted Vikings fan, Stan looked forward to cheering on his team every game day. He was known for his quick kindness and gentle demeanor, always ready to help. Honest, smart, dependable, and understanding, he approached life with a calm, easygoing presence that endeared him to everyone he met.
Stan valued harmony in his relationships, which made him a trusted and supportive listener to those around him. He will be deeply missed and his impact on his family, friends, and community will be long remembered.
